FAQ's
How much ice do I need to add?
We recommend adding 15-40lbs (7-18kg) of ice to the Chill Chamber per session depending on the initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed.
What temperature do you recommend?
We recommend starting out with your ice bath tub temperature at around 58° Fahrenheit (14°C) if it's your first time, and then slowly
lowering the temperature and duration for each session. That way your body will get acclimated to the cold.
How long should each ice bath be?
To receive the optimal health benefits, you'll need to stay in cold water below 58° Fahrenheit (14°C) for three to six minutes. Cold
water therapy works best with the right combination of time and temperature. Each individual is different and some people can
tolerate lower temperatures and longer times.
How do I drain the Chill Chamber?
The Chill Chamber comes with a drain pipe at the bottom of the ice bath. To drain it, simply twist the handle on the drain pipe and
watch the water flow out.
Does it include a cover?
Yes, all orders will include a waterproof cover.
How often should I clean the Chill Chamber?
To keep the water clean for long periods of time, we recommend adding either salt or hydrogen peroxide to the water. You can buy hydrogen peroxide almost anywhere online. For the salt solution, simply buy raw sea salt, or epsom salt and add around 1 pound (0.5kg) to a full ice bath. You can keep the water in the ice bath for 2-4 weeks when using salt. You can also use an multipurpose cleaning spray, but you do you must thoroughly rinse out all the chemicals. With no use of salt to clean your ice bath, we recommend changing the water every 3-5 sessions.
How do I assemble the Chill Chamber?
